Virginal flesh

Placing its wing

I ask for euphoria
To start from the moment
I break the sleep
& for the mornings light
To wrap around
Each of my motions
Leading my shadow by hand
Into the most exquisite
Of dances.

this was a submission to the secret 7 competition to design a cover for a song called Black Flies by Ben Howard, it is a beautiful song & it was inspiring trying to do justice to piece of music with no more than my pen and pencils….. it is based on an old fashioned map compass, with the elements of nature resembling how ones path, no matter how you try & plan it, is in the hands of the Gods….
